‌SUNS alert update

‌Campus community members signed up to receive SUNS notifications should have received a safety alert early Sunday morning concerning an attempted burglary in Sussman Village. The unidentified individual did not enter the apartment, no one was injured, and no property was stolen. The individual, who may have attempted to gain entry through a window, fled when observed. Law enforcement was called immediately and conducted a thorough investigation, including testing for fingerprints. Campus Safety will continue to work with law enforcement on this case. We remind all ground floor apartment residents that Campus Safety has “window sticks,” which prevent windows from being slid open if left unlocked and allow the window to open a few inches for fresh air. Contact Director of Campus Safety Tim Munro to get a window stick.
