Kalyan Das

Kalyan "Kal" Das, trustee, received the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award from Marquis Who's Who, a publisher of biographical profiles. According to Marquis, Das was honored for "many years' experience in his professional network ... achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field." Das is the head of the Global Bank and Institutional Finance & Restructuring Practice Group at the Seward & Kissel law practice, focusing on structured finance, asset-backed and mortgage-backed securities transactions, domestic and international banking transactions, project finance, capital markets, distressed debt trading, second lien financing, institutional finance and private placements.

Sara Lagalwar, assistant professor and Williamson chair of neuroscience, published a research manuscript titled "" Dec. 6 in the journal PLoS One. Co-authors include professors Steve Ives and T.H. Reynolds (health and human physiological sciences), Kim Frederick (chemistry) and Bernie Possidente (biology), along with ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ students Austin Ferro '15, Emily Carbone '14, Jenny Zhang '16, Evan Marzouk '16, Monica Villegas '16, Asher Siegel '16, Donna Nguyen '18, Jessilyn Hartman '17 and Kailen Polley '17.
