Join Lucas Parello, assistant professor at Florida Atlantic University; Christopher Whann, political scientist at Empire State College; Mahesh Shankar, director of International Affairs; and Murat Yildiz, assistant professor of history in a discussion moderated by Pushkala Prasad, professor and Zankel Chair in Management and Business. Speakers will focus on recent elections in the Middle East, South Asia and Latin America and discuss connections to upcoming US elections. All are welcome to attend. Fall Classics Lecture: 'Ceramic Production and Community at Archaic and Classical Eleon in Central Greece'

Janelle Sadarananda, visiting assistant professor of classics, leads a talk that explores pottery and terracotta figurines dedicated at the sanctuary at the site of Eleon in Central Greece to learn about how people lived, worked, and worshipped in the Archaic and into the Classical periods (ca. 600-450 BCE). The lecture will demonstrate how a microscopic look at the ceramics and a consideration of the life cycle of the finds from production to discard reveals more about social relationships among Eleonians. ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ community members are welcome to attend. Tyler Morse and Willie Kearse of the Parole Preparation Projection, an organization that supports currently and formerly incarcerated New Yorkers through advocacy, litigation, and community care, will have a conversation on elections and felon voting rights.
